Happy 20th Birthday to the Kidzfield @ Glastonbury festival!

Its been a great start to Summer for Zaz, now “back at work” after a little time off for the arrival of baby No2 Oliver George as he was born on St Georges day. So we dusted off & unpacked the Pazaz bigtop tent & all its equipment & hit the road. We have already visited many schools for both Saturday Fetes & fairs & during the school week teaching the children a fun & exiting circus show which they then perform after school in the bigtop for their teachers, family & friends. We spent a full week at Furley Park academy in Ashford to include almost every pupil in the school from years 1-5. The school made us very welcome during our stay & really utilised the shows to full fundraising capacity with a BBQ & showtime refreshments. We also pitched the bigtop next to the Chichester festival Theatre for Taste Artisan food festival We had a yummy time indeed & hope everybody enjoyed our shows! Next up is a special Birthday party! its 20 years since the Kidzfield within the Glasonbury festival was started. The field is probably the only place on site where parents can actually rest their eyes & relax with other parents whilst the kidz are captivated by the colour & magic of the kidzfield & the people that make it happen. Zaz is happy to be back performing in the bigtop again with the best in kidz entertainment! Click here to see the Amazing line up of things for Kidz & parents to do in the field.  Heres a short film of the Famous Kidzfield red Bus making its journey to Somerset.  After Glastonbury we reload & head to the next school Oakmere Primary School in Potters Bar then St Marys Primary School in  Worcestershire we are very exited about this as the school are using the village green to hold their summer fete & the BBC News are coming to film a short film on Zaz & Circus PaZaz! more on that soon! See you at Glastonbury!                              if not enjoy watching it on the telly ;0)

Glastonbury kidzfield 2013

Were back home & all washed up after another great Glastonbury festival. Zaz was invited back to perform for the 3rd year! Now Europe’s largest FREE children’s festival the Kidzfield is bursting with colour, bigtop tents, peace & love, & just about everything a child could dream of. This year we felt even more at home as our own newborn baby Zac could enjoy all the fun along with the thousands of other children… Each morning we would go to the big top as baby Zac is an early riser. African musician Seikou Susso plaid traditional West African Kora music for all the field to wake up to. Zac happily watched us both as I practised my hat juggling to his beautiful music. So much hard work goes into the Kidzfield by a fantastic team of hundreds of good people from all over the UK. Everyone has a part to play from the Baby help tent to the sand in the sand pits, Set at the the top of the field is the giant helter skelter which can be seen from far. In the performance tent as usual were a mix of cool kidz performers including the CBBC presenters. Each night fun guy Alex Winters read bed time storys & on the Sunday night everyone danced as the tent closed with a massive family kidz disco! Zaz’s shows were fun in the huge bigtop, a fantastic line up of hand picked kidz performers, puppeteers, story tellers and musicians. Well done to all that made the kidzfield 2013 happen it is vital that such a big festival has a space for children and here the parents are at ease. We saw the Rolling stones but Izaac’s highlight must have been the many flags seen through babys eyes…..
