Zaz tells his story in photos
I grew up in the small seaside town of Bognor Regis in the SE of England. I first saw Clowns performing at a young age when I took part in a festival of clowns with many other local school children. The International Clowns Convention was started in 1985 by local Clown performers & Clowns International the Oldest Club in the world for Clowns & friends of clowns.
The Clowns Convention in the late 80′ & 90’s was the biggest clown gathering in the world! Here as a child I met & was inspired by many great Clowns & performers from here & abroad.
Clowns International continue meet as a club for Clowns festivals & on the 1st Sunday Feb each year in London for the Annual Grimaldi Church Service. Photo: Clowns at Bognor Regis Butlin’s 2013
